iCAN Summit!

Kids Walter Payton is proud to participate in the annual iCAN Summit, a national gathering of young activists, leaders, and changemakers dedicated to creating inclusive communities for all children. The summit brings together youth from across the country to share stories, develop leadership skills, and collaborate on projects that promote kindness, acceptance, and empowerment.

What is the iCAN Summit?

The iCAN Summit is a vibrant, youth-led event where participants engage in workshops, panels, and activities focused on identity, advocacy, and social justice. It’s a space where young people can connect, learn from each other, and build lifelong friendships — all while making a meaningful impact on their communities.

As part of Kids Walter Payton, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported. Our team members who attend the iCAN Summit gain invaluable experience and bring back powerful ideas to inspire change locally. By sharing their voices and stories, they help create a culture of inclusion and respect both in our school and beyond.

2026 iCAN Summit:

We are so excited to participate in iCAN’s 12th Summit! The summit will be held at Barretstown, a is fully wheelchair accessible and thoughtfully designed to accommodate a wide range of physical and medical needs, ensuring that all participants can engage comfortably and safely. 

This year’s Summit will follow a camp-style format, intentionally creating a shared living and learning environment. By bringing industry leaders, youth, and parents together in one space, we aim to foster deeper relationships, meaningful collaboration, and true partnership through shared experiences and open engagement.
